Three singular bodies, with moss the multiple body speaking through them. A horizontal polyphony with no center, just rhythms. A group of dancers embrace the impossible challenge of humans tapping into the dance of moss. Where can bodies take place if not in our human flesh and bones? On what plane is the bodily happening? This group piece is emerging from long-term, deep encounters with moss. With MOSSBELLY Angela Schubot opens a new chapter in her artistic work, working with specific methods of encountering plant entities and, for the first time, choreographing for a group of dancers. Angela wants to honour these new beginnings by changing her artist name, taking the name of her long-forgotten grandfather who was made aware to her by plants: Vitovec.
